Executive Boardroom: AI-Based Governance, Risk, and Compliance Management Workflows

12:05 PM - 12:25 PM

Traditional GRC tool providers have long described their solutions as automated, however, when you dig deeper into the workflows and business logic, you suddenly realize those same workflows are manual and require a significant amount of clicking to obtain the desired outcome. Regulations continue to plague companies, an increase in enterprise risks is requiring a massive number of resources to mitigate, and there is an inability to monitor internal controls continuously. Even though the benefits of automation are realized, their taxonomy is still grossly misunderstood. AI-based technologies have valuable applications, ranging from automating regulatory compliance workflows and legal interpretation of requirements; cross-mapping to other regulations; to cybersecurity management in attended and unattended forms.

This presentation demonstrates the power of artificial intelligence in managing enterprise risks when the models are integrated into the GRC ecosystem. We will shed some intelligence on where automation works best when managing enterprise risks and mitigating controls to improve compliance outcomes. Additionally, we will focus on the following:

· Process mining to show GRC outliers;

· Automating workflows and approval packages;

· Continuously monitor enterprise control processes;

· Identify principles on how to utilize Watson to enhance the regulatory change process;

· Automate the risk analysis and predictive behavior processes;

· Automate report generation, metrics reporting, and operational analysis.
